Since having Louie, my skin is prone to flaring up when I consume anything synthetic, so I need to be careful with what I put on my skin. I try to only wear make up 2 or 3 times a week, so mostly I’ll just cleanse and moisturise with ASPECTS they have a line of skin care targeted toward rosacea. What is your favourite holiday destination with your family?īali, where we spend half the year… The smiles, the food and the warmth! Leave the house to grab Coffee and head to the beach… most days! On the weekend – what is the first thing you do together as a family? My Yoli and Otis Linen kimono and vintage Levi jeans. What are your go to pieces in your wardrobe? In some ways yes, I don’t wear midriffs and no longer follow trends but I always wore light linens, very little black and always flat shoes. The different ways in which I now look at the world, people and myself.

What has been the most surprising about motherhood? If I start something, chances are it won’t be completed within that set time frame, but I’ve come to terms with this. The biggest challenge would be my inability to finish anything. Motherhood will always be a balancing act but now with the business to nurture, at times it can feel quite overwhelming. Being a working mum - What has been the biggest challenge so far for you? I love that they’re all mine, to care for and protect on every level, everyday. As relaxed as it gets: Lena and Carlo with their children Louie and Yolanda. The couple are the brains behind ethical lifestyle company Yoli & Otis, which makes baby carriers and clothing using organic, plant-dyed fabrics and grew out of a quest to find a carrier for Yoli when she was a newborn. ‘We’ve since added a cabana at one end and a flower border at the other,’ says Lena. The lush garden was just ‘grass and a few plants’ when the couple bought the property. But long before it became such a destination, its easygoing charms had enchanted Lena Catterick and Carlo Letica, who decided to make it home for themselves, daughter Yolanda (Yoli), five, and son Louie, three. With its concept stores and coffee shops, Canggu might just be the hippest place in Bali right now.
